Our Yurts are traditional Mongolian Yurts. They have been hand crafted in Mongolia and imported by Ulann Taij. These Yurts are the real thing, not a western copy; living and breathing structures that stretch back into the history of humankind. They are decorated in traditional Mongolian symbols and colours. A green door representing the Earth, blue rafters the sky and an orange crown the sun.

The yurt sleeps upto six people. There is a standard double bed and twin single beds. In chest there are two air matresses and a pump to sleep two extra. For the beds we provide pillows and duvets with freshly laundered cotton covers. If using the air beds you will have to bring a sleeping bag.

Drinking water is available from a tap twenty metres away. Each yurt comes with its own rolling water carrier. This water is the best tasting water you will ever get short of standing beneath a glacier. There is a male and female shower block and toilet facilities one hundred metres away that are cleaned daily.

Immediately outside of the yurt is seating area with chairs made from local timber and a brazier to warm you on those long summer evenings. You can gaze down the valley to the sinuous beginnings of Lake Windermere and beyond.

Did we mention that all the water canisters at the yurts are freshly filled with clear spring water straight from its source…… experience nature at its finest and leave behind plastic bottled water.
