Our Yurts are traditional Mongolian Yurts. They have been hand crafted in Mongolia and imported by Ulann Taij. These Yurts are the real thing, not a western copy; living and breathing structures that stretch back into the history of humankind. They are decorated in traditional Mongolian symbols and colours.

The yurt sleeps upto six people. There is a standard double bed and twin single beds. For the beds we provide pillows and duvets with freshly laundered cotton covers. Bedding and linen is provided for four people. please bring a carry mat and sleeping bag for additional guests.
The yurts have 5 layers of fabric and are hence very well insulated. Most yurts in the UK only have a single canvas layer and lose heat rapidly. Combined with our waist high wood burning stove /ovens and you will never be cold so long as you tend your fire. We’ve had people stay in the yurts all year round, even with half a foot of snow and everybody always says that they were toasty warm.
Drinking water is available from a tap twenty metres away. Each yurt comes with its own rolling water carrier. This water comes straight off the fells and is the best tasting water you will ever get short of standing beneath a glacier. Experience nature at its finest and leave behind plastic bottled water. There is a male and female shower block and toilet facilities one hundred metres away that are cleaned daily.
Immediately outside of the yurt is a picnic table and area of decking made from local timber and a brazier to warm you on those long summer evenings. You can gaze down the valley to the sinuous beginnings of Lake Windermere and beyond.
Nearby we have strung up a hammock for your use. Relax and watch the clouds drift by. We also provide a BBQ and a Cajun Water-Smoker for your use.
